I met Shida during my first trip to Kenya. He arrived at the Trust one day with a prolapsed rectum, after being charged in the abdomen by a wild male rhino. The vet tried to stitch up his rectum several times, but the stitches just would not hold. Then they stitched him up so tight, that he was not able to deficate.

The day I had done the healing with him, Shida was having difficulties deficating. He was uncomfortable and restless, so the vet came by to remove his stitches. I did a healing session with him while all of this was happening. When the vet left, he did not re-stitch Shida’s rectum that day. And only a few days later, the prolapse miraculously stayed in place and did not pop out again. These photos show him before, the day after and the week after the healing work I had done with him.
